Our Mission
Main Street Fort Smith is a nonprofit committed to creating vibrant spaces in downtown Fort Smith through business development, arts and culture, special events, and the promotion of attractive amenities to accelerate development of diverse commerce.
We are the conductor at the intersection where the arts, recreation, entertainment, and lifestyle collide to create a vibrant downtown.

Mini-Grant Program for Downtown Business & Property Owners
Main Street Fort Smith is excited to announce the launch of its first Mini-Grant Program, designed to support business and property owners located within the Main Street Fort Smith district with projects that preserve and enhance the area’s historic character.
Funded through Main Street Arkansas and the Arkansas Department of Heritage, the program will provide 50/50 reimbursement grants ranging from $1,500 to $7,500. Projects must align with downtown’s form-based codes and demonstrate a commitment to historic preservation while contributing to the economic vitality and vibrancy of the district.
